26-29 September 2024 : Real Ale and Real Cider Festival
It’s our real ale and real cider festival, with 30 different ales/ciders on throughout the weekend. The pub is open from 16:00 until 23:00 on Thursday and Friday, and from 12:00 until 23:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Pizzas are served from 18:30 until 22:00 on Thursday and Friday, and from 17:00 until 22:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Throughout the weekend, for £25 you can get five pints of real ale/cider (or ten half pints) and a pizza. Featured Breweries and Beers: Three Blind Mice Citra & Sabro – Pale Ale – [4.5%] – A Citra & Sabro hopped New England pale ale. A lovely floral aroma with a touch of spice early on and a mellow bitterness at the end. £4.90/£2.45 Humpty Dumpty Little Sharpie – Session Bitter – [3.8%] – Little Sharpie is our best-selling golden session bitter. Our third real ale festival will take place between 25 and 28 July 2024. We will have over 40 real ales and real ciders available from breweries including Adnams, Nethergate, Mauldons, Wolf Brewery, Humpty Dumpty, Three Blind Mice, Mr Winters, Lacons and many others. We are repeating our popular offer from our last beer festival where you can buy advance tickets (until 24 July) for £25 which include 5 pints (or ten half pints) and a pizza. 23 – 26 May 2024 : Lidgate Star Real Ale and Cider Festival
Our beer festivals take place every other month and get a little bigger and better every time! This festival lasts from 23 to 26 May with ‘meet the brewer’ events on 23 May (Mighty Oak Brewery) and 26 May (Old Cannon Brewery). We’ve just won the CAMRA branch pub of the season and we also accept the 50p off CAMRA vouchers. For our second festival in May 2024, we’ll have over thirty different real ales and ciders. Our real ale festival is taking place between 21 and 24 March 2024. The details of the real ales will be announced shortly, but there will be a strong Norfolk theme. There are also two ‘meet the brewer’ events over the weekend, with Lacon’s Brewery coming on 21 March and Drinkstone on 24 March.
