We are hosting Christmas events from 15 November until 15 January, whether you like celebrating early or even into the new year!

Please contact us at star@lidgatestar.co.uk if you’re interested in booking an event. This Christmas menu is available for groups of six people or more and must be pre-booked. We can also offer this menu on weekday afternoons if you would like free private use of the pub (minimum spend may apply).

The price is £25 per head and this includes free olives and garlic bread, then three courses followed by coffee or tea. You can also add on a mini bottle of Prosecco for £5 per head.

STARTER

– Caprese Salad Skewers – A festive twist on the classic Caprese salad with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and basil leaves on skewers, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

– Festive Flatbread – Flatbread topped with seasonal ingredients of roasted pears, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and honey.

– Winter Salad with Pomegranate – A refreshing salad with mixed greens, pomegranate, oranges, and a tangy citrus vinaigrette.

MAIN COURSE

– Pizza – Any pizza from the menu (including the festive pizza which includes turkey, bacon and stuffing balls)

– Lasagne – Home-made lasagne served with roasted vegetables

– Charcuterie Board – Meats, cheeses and dips.

– Caprese Salad – A simple but refreshing salad with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.

DESSERT

– Peppermint Bark Calzone – A calzone filled with melted chocolate and marshmallows.

– Gingerbread Tiramisu – A twist on the classic tiramisu with gingerbread cookies dipped in coffee and layered with mascarpone cream.

– Affogato – Vanilla ice cream with a shot of hot espresso and shot of amaretto

– Ice Cream – A choice of ice creams

The Lidgate Star

The pub is open from 16:00 to 23:00 on Mondays to Fridays and from 12:00 to 23:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pizzas are served from 18:30 until 22:00 on Mondays to Fridays and from 17:00 until 22:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Cold plates such as charcuterie boards and filled rolls are available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We are launching a new weekend menu in late 2024.
