We’re primarily a drinks and events pub now, with a pizza menu every evening of the week where the dough and sauce is all home-made. Pizzas are served between 18:30 and 22:00 on Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays, we have a wider menu of sausage baguettes, soups, charcuterie and cheese boards. We don’t do Sunday roasts, but we do have a large Yorkshire pudding, a choice of local sausages, vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy for £10 between 12:00 and 15:00 on Sundays. Pizzas are also served on Saturdays from 12:00 until 22:00 and on Sundays from 18:30 until 22:00.

Charcuterie and cheese boards are available during the day on Saturdays and also by pre-ordering.

Pizzas are £10 and as a special offer for Mondays & Tuesdays, get a free pint, house wine or soft drink with every pizza.

There are also food trucks, theme evenings and guest chefs. We are planning to slightly widen our offering throughout 2024, but we will remain events and drinks led. There are monthly dessert evenings, please see our events page for more information.

We don’t take bookings for groups of under 6 people, you’re welcome to just turn up. For groups of 6 or over, we can take a reservation, please e-mail star@lidgatestar.co.uk. We’ll try to get back to you within an hour. You can also phone the pub on 01638 500275.

We can also open on weekday lunch and afternoons for groups (even small groups) and provide food, send us an e-mail and we’ll arrange the details.
