The Lidgate Star is now primarily a drinks and events pub now, a traditional country pub with a warm welcome and lots of beers, wine, soft drinks and spirits.

Pizzas are served from 18:30 until 22:00 on Mondays to Fridays and from 17:00 until 22:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Cold plates such as charcuterie boards and filled rolls are available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We are launching a new weekend menu in late 2024.

• Ham, Shiitake Mushrooms, Walnuts, Dolcelatte and Truffle Oil

• Spicy Hot Pizza with Powters Sausage, Pepperoni, Jalapenos and Buldak Hot Sauce (this spicy pizza can be made as spicy as you like)

We also now have garlic bread for £5 and cookie dough desserts made for us by The Cakeist Artisan Desserts are available for £5, served with ice cream or double cream.

Vegan pizzas are also available.

You also get a free drinks on Mondays and Tuesdays (any real ale, house keg beer, small house or soft drink).

We also have charcuterie boards available with meats, cheeses and dips. These are £12.50.

On Wednesday evenings, we now have our new Flammekueche evening including a dessert version with cinnamon and apples.

We don’t take bookings for groups of under 6 people, you’re welcome to just turn up. For groups of 6 or over, we can take a reservation, please e-mail star@lidgatestar.co.uk. We’ll try to get back to you within an hour.

We can also open on weekday lunch and afternoons for groups (even small groups) and provide food, send us an e-mail and we’ll arrange the details.
