26 Jan 2024 : Star Pub History Evening
We’re having an evening at the Star starting from 19:30 where there’s a discussion about the history of the pub. Not just the building itself, but also about past customers and publicans who have become part of the pub’s history. Anthony Foreman, a village historian who has written a number of books about Lidgate, will be giving an introduction to the heritage of the building. We encourage others with memories of the pub to come along. Everyone welcome to listen in, or take part if they wish. There’s no charge to attend.
