Come along for a meet the brewer with Adnams on Thursday evening, 4 April 2024. Arrive from 19:00 for the event which starts at 19:30. There’s no charge for the event and you can hear about the brewer, the beers and also get to try some of the ales.

Our real ale festival is taking place between 21 and 24 March 2024. The details of the real ales will be announced shortly, but there will be a strong Norfolk theme. There are also two ‘meet the brewer’ events over the weekend, with Lacon’s Brewery coming on 21 March and Drinkstone on 24 March.
21 Mar 2024 : Lacons Meet the Brewer
As part of our real ale festival between 21 and 24 March, Lacons are coming to visit to talk about their beers and answer questions about the brewery. No reservations are required. Arrive from 19:00 for a 19:30 start.
15 Mar 2024 : Quiz and Moongazer Meet the Brewer
Meet the Brewer with Moongazer brewery from Norfolk. Also, they’re hosting a quiz, so a great chance to try beers from Moongazer whilst showing your knowledge! Pizzas available from 19:00 until 22:00.
14 Mar 2024 : Craft Beer Can Tasting Evening
Come for a curated craft beer tasting at the Star, led by Sam from Distant Lands. Try a range of different beer styles, and some rather decadent and interesting beers, for £15. Everyone welcome, whether on their own or in groups. Beer types include pale ale, NEIPA, DIPA, pastry sour, candy sour and an imperial stout, with breweries including Beak, Coolhead, Verdant, Stu Mostow and Bereta. An evening in conjunction with Lidgate Ladies. We have an offer of two charcuterie boards and a bottle of wine for £25 and we have a couple of desserts to choose from at £5 each.
