Our beer festivals take place every other month and get a little bigger and better every time! This festival lasts from 23 to 26 May with ‘meet the brewer’ events on 23 May (Mighty Oak Brewery) and 26 May (Old Cannon Brewery). We’ve just won the CAMRA branch pub of the season and we also accept the 50p off CAMRA vouchers. For our second festival in May 2024, we’ll have over thirty different real ales and ciders. We have beers from Moon Gazer, Adnams, Lacons, Old Cannon Brewery Nethergate, Buxton, Oakham, Mauldons, Mighty Oak and several others. Not all beers will be available throughout the entire festival, but we’ll do our best to have a wide selection. We have advance tickets for £25 which get you five pints (or ten half pints) and a free pizza. Come along to our ‘Meet the Brewer’ event with Oakham Ales. There’s no admission charge and you can hear about the history of the brewery, learn more about the beers and try some of them free of charge!

We have a ‘meet the brewer’ with Burwell Brewery tomorrow evening (Friday 26 April) starting from 19:30. Between 19:00 and 21:00 on the evening, we’re offering £2.50 pints of Burwell’s Beer Fuggled and Sunshine beers, come along and give them a try! Everyone welcome and there’s no charge to come along. Pizzas will be served between 18:30 and 22:00.

Come and join us for the ‘meet the brewer’ event with Duration. There’s no admission charge and you can try some Duration beer for free! Arrive from 19:00 for a 19:30 start.
18 Apr 2024 : Quiz Night
Join us on Thursday evening, 18 April 2024, for our first monthly quiz night. There’s a £20 bar tab for the winning team and a £10 bar tab for the second placed team, with an entry fee of £1 per team. Teams are of four people and reservations aren’t necessary, but can be made by e-mailing star@lidgatestar.co.uk. Pizzas are available between 16:30 and 22:00.

Come along for a meet the brewer with Adnams on Thursday evening, 4 April 2024. Arrive from 19:00 for the event which starts at 19:30. There’s no charge for the event and you can hear about the brewer, the beers and also get to try some of the ales.
